The supercap HAS a polarity. You should solder the capacitor according to the white footprint. although we need to improve it with new instructions and calibration techniques. Calibration is in fact called to be an important topic along our conversations. We are currently following some rudimentary techniques to compensate for phase shifts, like connecting a current sensor to a pure resistive load or comparing current readings against the ones provided by a manual multimeter with current clamp.
