Programming an AVR on minibat 1.0 board
Hello,

I'm trying to upload a sketch onto a minibat board 1.0 with an AVR 1.0 panstamp on it.

I've taken an panstick 4.0 without panstamp chip on it, stacked on the minibat, connected only the pins on the bottom right side though ( SDA,SCL,RXD,TXD,D7, RESET,TEST,GND and VCC )

When I try to upload, I get:

Code:
Global variables use 723 bytes (35%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1,325 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes.
/home/jeremie/.arduino15/packages/arduino/tools/avrdude/6.0.1-arduino5/bin/avrdude -C/home/jeremie/.arduino15/packages/arduino/tools/avrdude/6.0.1-arduino5/etc/avrdude.conf -v -v -v -v -patmega328p -carduino -P/dev/ttyUSB0 -b57600 -D -Uflash:w:/tmp/build0d613ca653a8e5753a632f38349b970d.tmp/zapette-v2.ino.hex:i

         User configuration file is "/home/jeremie/.avrduderc"
User configuration file does not exist or is not a regular file, skipping

         Using Port                    : /dev/ttyUSB0
         Using Programmer              : arduino
         Overriding Baud Rate          : 57600
avrdude: Send: 0 [30]   [20]
avrdude: Send: 0 [30]   [20]
avrdude: Send: 0 [30]   [20]
avrdude: ser_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x00

The 9 next attempts are identical, "programmer is not responding.

The baud rate 57600 is suspicious no... ?

The curios thing is I can upload the very same sketch on a panstick with a chip without problem on it so I guess it is an hardware problem

Many thanks for your help
Jeremie

Hi Jeremie.

Can you please post a picture of your minibat bottom side? I'm suspecting that there is a weak solder point somewhere.

On the other hand, did you select "panStamp AVR 2" from Tools->Boards?

It is also the only IDE compatible with both panStamp AVR and panStamp NRG. If you want to use your old Arduino 1.0.x IDE you can still do it but only with panStamp AVR
