Range problem after switch to Minibat 2.0
I have built an application which sends a simple 0/1 signal across a distance of about 10 meters (however with two concrete walls in between). I described the application here.

It was powered by a Panstamp NRG2.0 (868MHz) with a MiniBat1.0 and a straight wire antenna of 82mm.

For two months the transmission was flawless.

Now I had to replace the Minibat 1.0 with a Minibat 2.0. I am using another NRG2.0. I however reused the same antenna. The problem: The range was reduced by about 50%. I cannot reach the 10m I reached before the switch. I also tried the PCB antenna, but this is no improvement.

Do you have any ideas on what could be the reason? - Would a spring antenna work better?

Thanks!

Hi Silvan,

Have you disabled the PCB antenna? Both antennae will not work well in parallel.
